	Although establishing such an advisory group is not required under the Healthy Schools Act of 2000, DPR decided that establishing the school IPM advisory group, composed of representatives from key school organizations and other interested groups, would be an important part of implementing our school IPM program. The purpose of such an informal Advisory Group is to assist DPR as we go forward with our school IPM program and to offer suggestions and comments to DPR as we develop materials and activities. Note: The School IPM Advisory Group was very helpful in starting the School IPM program. Its advice helped ensure this program provides strong support for constituent groups and achieves its mandated goals. Although the group no longer meets formally, we continue to update it members. DPR regularly e-mails information and updates about its California School IPM program to advisory group members and welcomes their comments.
